Desert and mountain oases — El Jem, Matmata, Tozeur, Douz
The best of southern Tunisia in 2 days: Roman amphitheatre, troglodyte dwellings, mountain oases and a night in the desert.
Overview
This tour brings together in a single package the most sought-after sites of southern Tunisia: the ancient heritage of El Jem, the troglodyte dwellings of Matmata, the mountain oases near Tozeur and a night in the desert at Douz.
This tour is also available by rental car, with or without a driver, so you can travel independently at your own pace.
Excursions into the uninhabited desert areas beyond Douz and Ksar Ghilane depend on authorisations from the ONTT (Tunisian National Tourist Office). If access is closed on your dates, we adapt the itinerary and let you know in good time.
