A night in a Berber tent — sunset and sunrise over the Sahara

A night in a Berber tent, between sunset over the dunes and waking at sunrise, on camelback.

TunisiaTour2 days / 1 night

Overview

It is the program most sought after by travellers online: a real night in the desert, far from the hotels, in a traditional Berber tent at the Dunes Insolites camp, near Sabria, about 40 minutes from Douz. Personal welcome on arrival, then a drive in an air-conditioned car to the bivouac — this camp is accessible without a 4x4. This tour is also available by rental car, with or without a driver.

Excursions into the uninhabited desert areas beyond Douz and Ksar Ghilane depend on authorisations from the ONTT (Tunisian National Tourist Office). If access is closed on your dates, we adapt the itinerary and let you know in good time.
